A total of 130 residents of Sepakat Jaya Village received Family Supplementary Feeding Program (PMTK) assistance on Friday (May 8, 2026). The activity, held at the Sepakat Jaya Village Office, was organized by Lembaga Pengelolaan Hutan Desa (LPHD) Lemmanis with technical and financial support from CFES together with PT Dharma Satya Nusantara Tbk (DSN Group). The program targeted vulnerable groups, including pregnant women, infants and toddlers, and the elderly, as part of efforts to improve nutritional intake within the village community.

The program, known as Bulan Kesehatan Lemmanis (Lemmanis Health Month), is more than just a regular social initiative. It is part of a performance-based Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES) scheme. The funds distributed serve as tangible incentives for the community’s success in protecting the Lemmanis Village Forest from land clearing, forest fires, and other illegal activities. Entering the third year of program implementation and the second year of PES fund distribution, this first health service activity for 2026 officially began.

CFES representative Radena Abdillah explained that the program intentionally positions the community not merely as beneficiaries, but as key actors in conservation and environmental protection efforts. According to him, the sustainability of this social support depends heavily on the collective commitment of all residents to prevent land clearing and forest degradation.

This initiative is the result of collaboration between LPHD Lemmanis, the Sepakat Jaya Village Government, local healthcare workers, and Posyandu volunteers. All 130 beneficiaries came from two hamlets, Sungai Beliung and Engkadin, and were residents who regularly participated in Posyandu activities in Sepakat Jaya Village.

Each beneficiary received a package of nutritious food supplies designed to help meet daily nutritional needs while supporting efforts to prevent stunting and improve maternal and child health in the village.

Andi Karim, HR Coordinator of LPHD Lemmanis, stated that the village forest has become a real source of support for the community through various social programs, ranging from PMTK assistance and community social aid to educational funding support that directly benefits residents. He emphasized that these benefits can only continue as long as the community works together to protect the Lemmanis Village Forest.

“LPHD Lemmanis of Sepakat Jaya Village invites all beneficiaries to remind their families and surrounding communities to work together in protecting the Lemmanis Village Forest,” said Andi Karim. He also stated that in the future, any land clearing activities within the village forest area would be followed up by the Supervisory Board (BAWAS) together with the relevant authorities.

The PMTK program demonstrates that forest conservation and community welfare are not opposing goals. Through the PES scheme, CFES and LPHD Lemmanis continue to show that protecting forests is a long-term investment that delivers social, health, and economic benefits for the people of Sepakat Jaya Village.
